Bronze playoff spot on offer when Blacksand faces Uluveou

An opportunity to take on the Vanuatu Police Forces in the Bronze Medal playoff is on offer when the Uluveou Sea Lions face the Blacksand Diamonds in the final match of the regular season on Saturday.

After nine weeks of competition, the top three spots of the Men’s Championship have been locked in, with the Vate Bulldogs set to face the Ifira Black Birds in the Grand Final with three clubs in the mix to take on the Police in the Bronze Medal playoff.

The teams in the running for fourth place are the Mele Eels, Uluveou Sea Lions and the Blacksand Diamonds, with the Diamonds needing to mimic the try scoring efforts of the Vate Bulldogs in order to leap frog the other two teams.

Kick off for the only Men’s Championship match is at 14:30 with the Mele Eels and Ifira Black Birds U15s set to play curtain raiser.

FIXTURES:
14:30 : Blacksand Diamonds v Uluveou Sea Lions – Kawenu Field, Malapoa

POSSIBLE OUTCOMES:

  • If the Uluveou Sea Lions draw or win they will face the Vanuatu Police Forces team.
  • If the Blacksand Diamonds win by 93 or less points, the Mele Eels will face the Vanuatu Police Forces.
  • If the Blacksand Diamonds win by 94 or more points, they will face the Vanuatu Police Forces.
