Fédération Polynésie Française de Rugby à XIII sets sights on Honiara

Joining the likes of Vanuatu and Solomon Islands at the 2023 Pacific Games in Honiara is a key focus for the newly formed Fédération Polynésie Française de Rugby à XIII (FPFRXIII) as it looks to introduce Rugby League across the archipelagos that make up French Polynesia.

The Honiara Pacific Games will be the third consecutive games in which Rugby League Nines will be played as a medal sport, with the FPFRXIII focusing on establishing pathways for players from across the collective.

The intention of the FPFRXIII is to have both a Men’s and Women’s team at the 2023 Pacific Games, with the hope of both teams able to play in front of a home crowd at the 2027 Pacific Games.

Any players, officials or others who are interested in getting involved are encouraged to email polynesiefrancaise@pacifiquetreize.com or reach out via Facebook Messenger on the Fédération Polynésie Française de Rugby à XIII page.
